RWANDA: THE INSTRUMENTALIZATION OF GENOCIDE

According to the wisdom of nations, “one man’s misfortune is another man’s gain.” The Rwandan genocide of 1994 not only caused death and misery but it also greatly benefited a certain category of Rwandans who, today, make the country rain and shine. Indeed, the immeasurable tragedy of the genocide in the spring of 1994 has been instrumentalized by Paul Kagame, his select group and his networks. This instrumentalization is being carried out for economic (A), political (B), social (C), diplomatic (D) and strategic (E) purposes.

Since land is the most precious commodity, especially in a country like Rwanda, which is overpopulated and where almost the entire population depends on agriculture for its livelihood, it is worth recalling the battle for its replacement in the aftermath of the RPF victory. Indeed, under a policy of “equitable sharing” (isaranganya ry’ubutaka) hastily adopted by Rwanda’s new masters, Rwandan citizens found on the spot had to cede part of their land free of charge to Tutsis returning from exile in the wake of the genocide. Subsequently, there was a sort of race to despoil public land, particularly in Mutara and the Akagera and Birunga parks, as well as in the Bugesera and Mayaga paysannats. Senior RPF cadres, recently returned from exile, boasted that they now owned square kilometers of land. We should also mention the plundering of houses (kubohoza), banks (most notably the Banque Nationale du Rwanda, which was completely looted), private accounts in commercial banks, embassy assets, the plundering of the Caisse Sociale du Rwanda and so on.

Finally, let’s not forget the tons of foreign currency received from tourists at the genocide memorials, in particular the Gisozi memorial in the capital, where the bones of the supposedly exclusively Tutsi victims are displayed. Those who have decided to make a spectacle of the dead in this way know full well that none of their own people are on display there.

As part of the fight against genocide ideology, a tailor-made organic law draconianly represses any ideological or political divergence. As a result, a political monopoly prevails in Rwanda. The most popular political parties (MRND and MDR) were dissolved and then brutally banned, and a forum of RPF satellite parties was created, effectively establishing a primitive monopolistic system. The weapon of genocide is sufficiently formidable that Kagame regularly obtains a Stalinist score (99%) in sham elections. Anyone who disagrees with the RPF’s ideology, whether Rwandan or foreign, is branded a genocidaire, a denier or other labels, and as such suffers severe consequences.

With its revanchist, segregationist mentality, the RPF has established a kind of dualistic globalization that divides the national community into two diametrically opposed camps: the GOOD and the BAD. According to this surreal logic, the BAD must, at best, keep their mouths shut and depend on the goodwill of the GOOD and the sovereign, and at worst, disappear, one way or another, so that the GOOD may prosper forever. It was this diabolical logic that gave rise to RPF’s “Operation Punguza Wajinga” (reduce these imbeciles), under which RPF attack units perpetrated large-scale massacres in the country’s north-western and eastern territories as they advanced towards Kigali in 1994. Although discreetly, this operation continues to this day. The Gersonny Report states that at least 30,000 people were killed by RPF soldiers in one month alone following the capture of the capital in early July 1994. According to RPF, a GOOD person is anyone who swallows and agrees to what they are told without thinking or questioning anything imposed by the RPF system.

With regard to the genocide, the RPF intelligentsia has devised a diplomatic approach based on guilt-tripping and blackmail: any state or international organization is obliged to give in to the “crocodile tears” of Kagame and his group to avoid being classified as “bad” for collaborating with the deposed Habyarimana regime, or being accused of having done nothing to stop the genocide. In this way, the RPF is granted colossal sums of money or has its debts forgiven by blackmail. It is also in this logic that a controversial figure such as Louise Mushikiwabo was propelled to the head of the Organisation Internationale de la Francophonie. In fact, the RPF uses blackmail to position its most zealous cadres in strategic positions in the international system, in order to promote its misleading ideology and make itself unavoidable in the region.

Given that the Tutsis represent only 14% of the Rwandan population, the situation of numerical inferiority is of great concern to the ruling oligarchy. In an attempt to remedy this situation, an assimilationist policy was adopted as a consequence of the 1994 genocide. With this in mind, Kagame and those close to him are forging closer ties with the Zionist world, presenting themselves as “dark-skinned Jews!” They have offered to welcome to Rwanda their “brothers” the Falachas, whom Tel Aviv wants to get rid of; they even welcome into their army nationals from Nilotic countries (Somalia, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Sudan) etc. Finally, Kagame and those close to him are spearheading a gigantic project underway in the sub-region, namely the creation of a Hima-Tutsi Empire which, as General Muhoozi Kainerugaba, son and potential successor to Ugandan President Museveni, is constantly singing on social networks, will cover the whole of tropical Africa, stretching from the Atlantic to the Indian Ocean.

As you can see, the Rwandan genocide was not all doom and gloom. The RPF, which instigated it, has profited greatly from it, to the point where it is even seriously considering using it as a lever for Tutsi suprematism. The funny thing is that the RPF has transformed the Rwandan genocide by calling it the “Tutsi Genocide,” even though the 1994 genocide did not only kill Tutsis, but also many Hutus and even Twas.
