His Excellency Cyrille RAMAPHOSA
President of the Republic of South Africa
Pretoria – South Africa
Date: June 21, 2024
Subject: Congratulations
Your Excellency Mr. President,
We warmly congratulate you on your re-election as President of the Republic of South Africa. We also congratulate the South African people, who have had the wisdom and maturity to renew their confidence and place their destiny in your hands.
We are the Movement for the Republic and Democracy (MRD), a Rwanda political platform bringing together Rwandan patriots across all political and ideological divides. We are determined to mobilize Rwandans so that together we can put a definitive end to tyranny, oppression and war in the African Great Lakes sub-region.
That’s why, having been attentive to events in our country and in the sub-region, we are proud of your leadership and your vision for an Africa freed from the imperialist and neo-colonialist yoke. Your stance in favor of oppressed peoples, and in particular the Congolese people today in their relentless struggle against the aggressors RDF-M23, inspires us with pride and gratitude.
We would therefore like to assure you of our determination to work for a change of government in Rwanda, so that the people, who have suffered so much, can regain serenity and hope for the future. With this in mind, we would like you to remain steadfast in your generosity and altruism towards the Rwandan people.
Our gratitude to Your Excellency, and to the people of South Africa, will never waver in view of the way your country has welcomed Rwandan refugees who survived the genocide and massacres committed by Kagame and the RPF. We will be eternally grateful to you for the way you continue to protect them against this criminal and his regime, which seeks to exterminate them at all costs wherever they have found refuge.
While renewing our congratulations and our wishes for your well-being and success in the exercise of your duties in the service of your compatriots, please accept, Excellency Mr. President, the expression of our highest consideration.
MRD President
Mrs Coleman Christine
